๐ How Does Your Race and Ethnicity Affect Your Menopause Experience? - Menopause can present different symptoms and challenges depending on your race and ethnicity. Most of what we know about menopause is from scientific studies of large groups of white women. So the story we have of the average menopause experience โ- youโre 51 years old with hot flashes, vaginal dryness and brain fog that last for about 6.5 years โ is based on what menopause looks like for a white woman. In some studies, Latina and Black women were specifically excluded.
